Educational therapy provides personalized learning support for students and adults who face challenges with academics, focus, organization, or executive functioning. It goes beyond tutoring by addressing the root causes of learning difficulties — whether related to ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, or other learning differences — to help individuals build lasting skills for success in school, work, and daily life.
Tutoring focuses on helping a student with specific school subjects. Educational therapy takes a deeper, more holistic approach — it helps clients understand how they learn, why they may be struggling, and builds customized strategies to support executive functioning, memory, attention, motivation, and confidence. It’s ideal for students with ADHD, learning differences, or anyone who needs more than academic help.
I work with:
Children and teens with ADHD, learning disabilities, or executive function challenges
College students navigating academic pressure, time management, or accommodations
Adults and professionals who feel disorganized, distracted, or overwhelmed at work
Parents looking for learning solutions and strategies for their child
I also accept Self-Determination Program (SDP) clients through regional center funding.
Yes! Executive function skills are the brain’s self-management tools — like planning, organizing, prioritizing, time management, and emotional control. Struggles with executive functioning can lead to missed deadlines, procrastination, and feeling “stuck.” Educational therapy directly targets these areas with customized coaching and strategies.
Yes. Many of my clients have been diagnosed with ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, auditory processing disorder, or other learning differences. I provide support for both academic and executive functioning needs, and tailor sessions to each individual’s learning style.
Yes! I offer both in-person and virtual Educational Therapy sessions. Remote sessions are flexible, accessible, and just as effective — especially for busy families or adult clients balancing work and other responsibilities.
Most clients meet with me once or twice a week for 50-minute sessions. The frequency depends on your goals, needs, and availability. We’ll figure out what makes the most sense during your free consultation.
This depends on each individual’s needs. Some clients need short-term support to develop specific skills. Others benefit from longer-term sessions to address deeper learning or executive function challenges. Together, we set clear goals and track progress over time.
Yes! I am a Self-Determination Program (SDP) provider through the regional center. If you or your child is using SDP funding, we can work together under your individualized budget. I’m happy to collaborate with your Independent Facilitator and support team.
Absolutely. Many adults come to me because they’re struggling with time management, organization, follow-through, or task initiation in the workplace. Educational Therapy for adults helps build systems for productivity, focus, and stress reduction — all tailored to your real-life needs.
Yes. With your consent, I’m happy to collaborate with schools, IEP teams, psychologists, speech therapists, or other support providers. Teamwork makes a big difference in creating consistent support across all environments.
